Overwhelmed!

So I am overwhelmed at all the things I have missed since my last post. Well, I didn't miss them, but give me a few years and my feeble brain is going to have forgotten so many of these memories that I will be making them up when my kids ask for stories of their childhood.

Halloween 2008- Jared was Wall-e and Kaci was Dorothy. I tried to coerce and manipulate and guilt my way into a matching theme, but I was successfully ignored. Earlier in the year, we had seen a theater production of Wizard of Oz, so Kaci has been attached to those darn ruby slippers ever since. And Wall-e has been Jared's obsession du jour (and note to Jared when he reads this in a few years-- It was not easy finding a Wall-e costume and I am way too uncrafty to have designed one myself so I overpaid for this rather chintzy costume so please don' t say I never did anything for you).

A few weeks later, Ryan graduated from Troy University and the kids successfully sat through 138 names so that they could yell and cheer for number 139, their daddy.

I really did try to get a great Christmas picture (refer to my obsession with theme), but I was so unsuccessful that I just gave up. I had a whole gluttonous ice-cream thing going on, but by the time I was getting some decent pictures, our huge family size sundae had melted into a gelatonous mess. Before heading to California for Christmas and Michalene's wedding, Ryan and I had one more ball to attend. And there is nothing more ridiculous than a pregnant lady wearing a formal trying not to act pregnant, but it made for a great conversation starter.
Once we made it to California, we were ready to celebrate Kaci's 4th birthday, Christmas 2008, and Michaelene and Brian's wedding. Here is a picture of the happy couple:

And while all of us were in the wedding, I guess I was too busy or too lazy or too laidback to take pictures of my own of the kids and the bride and groom and the family. But I do have one picture of Ryan and I (but the kids were way cuter than we were!).

And I have future plans for a Christmas in February post and a Happy Belated Birthday post so I will get those in later.
