March Madness '09

March Madness has nothing on the Miedema household. Spring sports are in full gear.

Jared has taken up Tae Kwon Do. He's earned his orange belt and is working towards his yellow belt. He likes it, but he just isn't an aggressive kid. This is the meanest face he could make. He has yet to win a one on one sparring match because he doesn't understand why he would punch or kick someone for no reason. And, yes, he has been defeated by the 4 year old girls in his class.

After 3 seasons of watching her brother play, Kaci finally gets to play soccer. She is most excited about wearing the shirt and having a water bottle. We're still working at keeping her on the field as opposed to running off the field to play with Jared.Lucas has taken up surfing. It's a sport that he mastered on his 6 week birthdate. He is definitely the best sportsman in the family thus far. Hang loose, Lucas!I am currently working on regaining my pre-pregnancy muscle. Here's what my arms looked like May 2008
